Campfire Ramblings represents my first attempt at blogging, but I believe that all great adventures begin with a few simple steps or in this case words.It seems only natural to start at the beginning; the story of Cowboy Creek Gifts began around the embers of a campfire. At some point under that star filled sky I made mention that I would love to have a store and stock it full of childhood memories.A couple months passed, and Christmas came around the bend, and there under the tree was a small wrapped gift from my best friend, it contained a handwritten note along with something I would soon learn was called a URL. While my friend Steve could make a computer sing and dance I was still struggling just to turn it on. However one thing is certain here around Cowboy Creek, the winters are long which provided ample time to practice new skills and I soon learned my way around my new found hobby.My tiny cabin quickly began to bulge at the seams, and the kitchen counter became my first packing bench, packing materials were begged and borrowed from neighbors far and near, while endless boxes were stacked to the rafters.
There was something magical in those simple beginnings and here amid the mountains and trees we still remain committed to those original cowboy values of God, country, and family.
