Did you know that donkeys are said to have incredible memories and can often remember their friends up to 25 years later. I think I could use a few of them around Cowboy Creek, as it seems a few of us around here have trouble remembering up to 25 minutes later. Their large ears allow them to not only have a great sense of hearing as they and can hear the call of another from almost 60 miles away but they also help them stay cool. Donkeys make great guard critters for cattle, sheep and goats since they are very protective and have a natural dislike of dogs, coyotes and wolves.
