Easter Market by Hubrig Volkskunst

Each year the bunnies around the "Creek" get together and have a bazaar, people come from miles around to to feast on carrot cake, or wet their whistle with a glass of freshly pressed carrot juice with just a hint of kale. One of my favorite vendors is Frau Andrea, her cart is always heaped with the traditional Easter treasures I remember from childhood. But you have to be quick as she always sell out quickly. Easter Market is part of the Country Bunnies collection from the wonderful folks at Hubrig Volkskunst

Each wonderful piece is handcrafted in Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) region of Germany. Originally the people of the area made their living as coal miners, but when the coal deposits gave out they turned to the forests to make a living. Families began making their favorite figures and selling them in their homes or at local Christmas Markets, today they are sold around the world and are sought after collectibles. These fine art miniatures of wood are a perfect addition to any country décor and are sure to become family heirlooms.
