Description
Hanna learned in school that goats were among the very first animals ever tamed by humans — and that, much like dogs, they can recognize their own names. This fascinated her, of course, because goats are famously curious creatures, always eager to climb, leap, and investigate anything that looks remotely like a toy.
But Hanna’s own little Darling seems far more interested in what she’s carrying in her basket. While other goats might be busy hopping onto stumps or scrambling up rocks, this one trots faithfully at her side, sporting a tiny bow tie that makes him look far too dignified for mischief. Still, his eyes sparkle with that unmistakable goatish curiosity.
Around Cowboy Creek, folks say that Darling isn’t just a pet — he’s Hanna’s shadow, her companion, and her favorite audience for every new fact she learns. And judging by the way he noses at her basket, he’s hoping today’s lesson comes with snacks.
