As a beloved member of the Landidyll (Country Life) collection, Maria is known far and wide for her green thumb. But if you ask her, she’ll insist the real credit belongs to the fresh spring water that trickles down from the mountains and the crisp, clean air that drifts through Cowboy Creek.

Maria spends hours beside her many gardens, admiring the blooms she has coaxed from the tiniest seeds. Butterflies flutter in for a visit, ladybugs settle on her sleeves, and the grasshoppers — well, they stop by for a snack, much to her playful scolding. She claims it’s all part of the garden’s charm, and perhaps she’s right.

Though her official name is Sommerblumenranke (Summer Flower Tendril), the locals have long since renamed her “Maria, How Grows It?” Creativity flourishes in this valley, and so do Maria’s flowers.
