Mission Pluto Friction Rocketship Tin Toy

Here at the creek we tend to like anything that takes us back to those wonderful childhood memories. Lying on our backs in meadow our eyes strained to pick out a tiny flicker of light crossing the heavens, the days of Sputnik, Lost in Space and the War of the Worlds. Setting off into space in an old barrel turned into a rocket, stocked with water and crackers we were on our way into the galaxy, but unlike today's missions we had to make it back before lunch. Our little rocket, brings back those memories, I even remember one of my cousins got an exact replica of the rocketship for Christmas one year. The Tin Rocketship is friction driven, and when the point is bumped the space craft will stand upright the door opens and the "gangplank" lowers to welcome the astronauts inside.

This toy as with all of our wonderful Tin Toys was created with the adult collector in mind. Due to sharp edges and small parts they are not suitable for children under the age of 12.
