Turkey Puppet
An all American Bird the turkey is part of our history. Ben Franklin thought so highly of the bird that he felt it should have been become our national symbol instead of the eagle.
Wild turkeys are reported to able to fly very short distances but can run on the ground at speeds up to 25 miles an hour. Only males make that familiar gobble sound. and that little flap of fleshy growth that hangs down over their beak is called a snood. Turkeys have been part of the American landscape for millions of years. And they have developed a unusual fear of Thanksgiving with an average of 525 million pounds of turkey being consumed on that day who can blame them.
