Description
You know that old childhood rhyme? “Cowboy Creek has lost their sheep and doesn’t know where to find them…” We take issue with the last line. Leave them alone and they’ll come home wagging their tails behind them — though here at the Creek, we’ve found it’s usually easier to just fix the fence.
Sheep have more than one stomach, and one pound of their wool can make up to ten miles of spun yarn. In days gone by, their fat — called tallow — was used by pioneers to make both candles and soap. During WWI, President Woodrow Wilson’s wife even kept a flock grazing on the White House lawn and used the wool to raise money for the Red Cross. They make wonderful pets, too.
The Wooly Sheep Puppet is a delightful design from the wonderful folks at Folkmanis. He measures 19 inches long, 8 inches tall, and 8 inches wide. Made of all new material, polyester fiber, and surface washable.
